The most important part of a rail vehicle decisive for travel comfort and safety is its
running gear. The bogie being an integral element plays a key role from the point of view
of safe and stable vehicle motion on the rail infrastructure. The bogie frame structure
adapted to the vehicle operational conditions can significantly improve its running
properties. The article is devoted to analyzing some selected bogie frame designs with
presentation of the structural differences between them.
