The article presents the process of modeling the phenomenon of noise propagation generated
during the passage of a railway vehicle as a function of distance from the sound source and of
octave frequencies. The conducted experimental studies served as the basis for the development
of sound propagation models. Acoustic measurements were carried out in the area of the railway
line whose track was elevated on a track foundation. Then a model was developed that
most faithfully reproduces the analyzed phenomenon in real conditions.
