ABSTRACT
The article presents the methodology and results of comfort measurements in terms of
noise and vibration in the driver seat of new and modernized electric multiple units, in
accordance with applicable regulations and standards. The measuring apparatus used
and the location of measurement points has been shown. The article also contains information
on the sources of vibration and noise in rail vehicles.
